OverviewThe Pediatric Ambulatory Electrophysiology RN provides specialized nursing care to pediatric patients with cardiac arrhythmias and implanted cardiac devices (e.g., pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders). This role involves direct patient care in the ambulatory setting, working collaboratively with electrophysiology providers, advanced practice nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure high-quality, family-centered care. High degree of autonomy needed and attention to detail is a must.

Responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients with arrhythmias or cardiac devices..Provide electrophysiology education and support to patients and families.Triage patient concerns via phone or electronic communication, escalating as needed.Orders and assists with coordination of EP patient admissions (changing meds, arrhythmia issues, etc)Assists with coordination of care between service lines when needed (referring out to other specialties)Assists with EP provider clinics, assisting patient and family education and instructions.Relays tests results (holter, MRI, EKG, Echo, etc) and necessary changes in care as requested by EP MD’sCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.Coordinate outpatient visits and ensure continuity of care across settings.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.Qualifications Associate's Degree ADN Required.Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role1-2 years of experience preferred orBachelor's Degree Preferred for all nurses hired after September 1, 2013.Nurses hired after this date without a BSN, must complete their degree within 5 years of their hire date One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hireOne of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hireRN Compact license for all states besides KS and MORefer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon HireSpecialty Nursing Certification encouraged for all eligible nurses Preferred Benefits at Children's Mercy

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $33.43/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
