Pediatric Clinical Assistant
About the u nit 5S PICU is an 8-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.  The unit manages the care of those patients under 25 who require intensive care.  The diagnoses seen are multiple traumas, shock, DKA, respiratory failure, drug overdose and multiple organ failure.  This unit also does all deep sedation for pediatric procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, LP, bone marrow biopsy, PICC lines, thoracentesis, etc.  About Royal Oak Hospital Recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the #2 hospital in Michigan and one of the top hospitals in the country. The advanced capabilities and clinical expertise within this center have earned Magnet designation four consecutive times and has the distinct honor of housing Michigan’s first Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence.   Scope of w ork Coordinates aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the unit. In addition to communication and clerical tasks, she/he monitors and stocks supplies.
