**Role Purpose**
A sales expert in providing travel advice and reservations solutions. A critical customer touch point for delivering on our IHG brand experience. **Key Accountabilities**
+ Perform basic and complex transactions including but not limited to: data entry, system navigation, data processing, file maintenance, data verification and review and customer contact.
+ Performs more advanced tasks such as data analysis and data/report reconciliations, prioritization of daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports or projects, advanced system navigation, complex processing transactions and file maintenance.
+ Maintain a consistent, high quality customer-focused orientation. Respond to individuals in a timely manner. Provide clear, accurate information; explain procedures or materials or provide supplemental information; anticipate problems or questions.
+ Participate in discussions or activities regarding work processes, procedures, rules and schedules.
+ Deliver professional customer service and team oriented behaviors. Complete and takes ownership of assignments, issues and problems and assure completion either personally or with other team members.
+ Communicate with internal and external customers to receive and provide information and assistance.
+ Actively participate in the reviewing of data. Manage complex issues assessing potential risks and proactively advises process leader of probable alternatives. Utilize outside sources to gather data.
+ Ensure proper controls are in place for the process team.
+ May analyze discrepancies between system interfaces and assists the process liaison with customer and systems support.
+ Data extraction from various applications for daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
+ Assist with administrative tasks to support Operations.
+ Provide training to other team members as needed.
**Key Skills & Experiences**
Experience –
At least one (1) year of business experience in a Call Center/Hotel Guest Relations/Hotel
Sales environment, systems, terminology and processes preferred but not required.
Required Skills –
Demonstrated strong PC skills including proficiency in a variety of software packages (i.e. Excel, Word,
PowerPoint, Outlook, e-mail, etc.).
Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills for the purpose of conveying information to internal and external customers or providing information via written reports or correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to analyze basic database information for the purpose of accurately maintaining data and reporting trends or inconsistencies.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and projects accurately and with attention to detail.
Demonstrated follow-through and ability to complete multiple ongoing projects on time and within specified budget.
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail in order to maintain accuracy of reporting data.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills for the purpose of maintaining the daily flow of office work, answering questions and resolving issues.
Demonstrated math skills for the purpose of checking figures for accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to type at least 60 words per minute.
Basic software and hardware trouble shooting.
Advanced PC skills including Excel Knowledge and experience with hotel & restaurant applications is a plus
Strong web-based navigation skills, and basic technology/telephone troubleshooting and support, ability to adapt to new technology; effective and efficient use of online communication tools and other systems
