Our dedicated 20,000 employees optimize the branch, improve operational efficiency and maximize self-service availability for financial institutions and retailers across the globe. **Information Security** **Engineer I** **Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility** **Short Description:** A cyber security role responsible for coordination, oversight, and activities that drive improvements into the operational activities of a Fortune 500 company that provides cloud, mobile, & business-enablement solutions around the globe.  If you are excited about cyber security, PCI DSS, & IT governance **Areas Responsibilities:** + Advocate and communicate procedures, policies, and guidelines related to Information Security + Apply security best practices and technologies to the design of software applications + Assist in the design of security controls, policies, and procedures + Assist in the implementing of enterprise security controls + Assist in the investigation of intrusion incidents, forensic investigations, and incident response + Assist in the audit of security controls across the enterprise + Collect and analyze data to drive decisions and recommendations regarding security standards and controls + Conduct internal and external research to collect and report data, share knowledge, and accomplish objectives + Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of security-related solutions + Engage with internal and external customers to discuss security-related topics + Maintain industry knowledge and be aware of current trends and threats as it relates to information security and compliance + Partner with software application development teams on security-related projects and topics + Support oversight and serve as the technical SME for application penetration testing + Serve as security technical SME for security related incidents + Support internal and external customers as necessary + Work independently supporting diverse set of goals + Work across business units to effectively achieve goals **Required skills and experience:** + 1+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field + 1+ years of experience working within information security programs focused on compliance with policies, procedures, and industry regulations + Minimum 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Windows and Linux network technologies + Minimum 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio + Good understanding of the financial and payment card processing industries and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), either serving as an assessor or as an implementer of security programs + Understanding of information systems and security infrastructure + Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts in layman’s terms + Demonstrate creative thinking, problem solving skills, and risk analysis + Basic project management skills with the ability to organize activities, manage task, and report status effectively + Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within complex teams + Ability and willingness to adapt and learn new skills quickly + Possess a flexible, proactive, can-do attitude **Preferred skills and experience:** + One or more industry certifications to include CISSP, CISM, CIPP, PCI QSA, PCI ISA, or Similar + Software development background working with Microsoft Windows and Linux technologies + Mobile development background working with Apple and Android technology + Consulting and/or audit services background with a focus on information security and compliance + Experience developing, deploying, or supporting Point of Sale solutions + Experience within the Hospitality or Food & Beverage business sector + Presentation experience with focus on information security topics Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job. **EEO Statement** NCR Atleos is an equal-opportunity employer.
