Payroll System Analyst
***Payroll Systems Analyst - Interviews Happening This Week*** Location: Edison, NJ Job Type: Full-Time Position Summary A dynamic and mission-driven organization is seeking a skilled and analytical Payroll Systems Analyst to join its Payroll Systems team. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing support of payroll and timekeeping systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with HR, IT, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure payroll systems are optimized, compliant, and aligned with organizational needs. Key Responsibilities + Gather and translate business requirements into functional system specifications. + Design and deliver ad-hoc and standard payroll reports. + Maintain deep knowledge of payroll and timekeeping system rules and structures. + Develop creative solutions for complex payroll system challenges. + Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll system implementations and upgrades. + Lead and support system projects from initiation through deployment. + Ensure system changes are adopted across departments through effective communication and training. + Advise on best practices for payroll and timekeeping technologies. + Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll data and adhere to data security protocols. + Manage support tickets and act as a liaison between payroll operations and technical teams. + Participate in payroll processing and system input file handling on a rotational basis. + Support system maintenance, including patches and upgrades. + Perform ad-hoc projects and other assigned tasks. Qualifications Required: + High School diploma or GED. + Strong understanding of payroll processing, systems, and tax regulations. + Minimum 5 years of experience with ERP payroll systems and configuration. + Experience in documentation, change management, project management, and auditing. + Proficient in report writing and data analysis. + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. + Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite. Preferred: + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. + Experience with Oracle, PeopleSoft, or Workday ERP systems. + Knowledge of SQL and database design. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $53000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
