Description
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor, Manager, or Director to oversee payroll operations in Louisville, Kentucky. This role is essential in ensuring payroll processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and multi-state regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, customer service skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees at all levels.
• Utilize and maintain timekeeping and HR information systems, including employee self-service platforms.
• Handle special payments such as contracts, stipends, and other compensation in alignment with company policies.
• Build strong relationships with leadership and HR staff to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Adhere to strict corporate internal controls and deadlines to maintain compliance.
• Research and resolve payroll-related issues for managers and employees, providing clear and effective solutions.
• Develop and deliver training programs focused on payroll procedures and timekeeping systems.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency, and overall functionality.
• Stay informed about multi-state payroll regulations and company policies, maintaining relevant employee resources.
• Exhibit professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in interactions with colleagues, customers, and external parties.
Requirements
• Proven experience in payroll processing and management, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Familiarity with 401(k) administration, employee benefits, and auditing functions.
• Proficiency in using HRIS/payroll systems
• Strong knowledge of payroll practices, including bi-monthly payroll cycles and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to train employees on payroll procedures and timekeeping systems.
• Excellent multitasking and team collaboration skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining detail-oriented relationships.
• Understanding of multi-state payroll regulations and a proactive approach to staying updated on changes.
