Job Title: Payroll Specialist II
Job Summary:
EMCOR Facilities Services has an opportunity for a Payroll Specialist II in Irvine, CA. The Payroll Specialist II ensures the timely and accurate processing of payroll for assigned operating companies, manages discrepancies and works with the HR and operations teams to resolve issues in an effective and timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process weekly payrolls for assigned companies, which includes data entry, processing garnishments, computing payroll, printing checks, create direct deposit ACH file, upload pay stubs to online portal, post payroll, process positive pay and save reports. Process A/P checks for garnishment payments. Monitor online banking for positive pay issues that require decision making. Assist employees with my-estub.com, reset passwords and help logging on. Process certified payroll reports for assigned payrolls and assist with other companies.Qualifications:
High School or GED Three or more years in a similar payroll role within a high volume, fast paced environment Proficient in Excel Experience with email in a business to business setting (Outlook preferred) Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel and Internet navigation. Strong data entry and typing skills Excellent attention to detail with a focus on efficiency and accuracy Superior organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in order to meet objectives and standards. Strong oral and written communication skills
