Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for managing end-to-end weekly payroll processing and ensuring compliance with various prevailing wage laws. This role involves a mix of payroll processing and administrative tasks within a dynamic office environment.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end weekly payroll, including timecard validation, batch posting, and check printing.Utilize Viewpoint Vista and HCSS HeavyJob for payroll and equipment entry.Track and report fringe benefits, deductions, and union contributions.Process weekly tax payments, garnishments, and payroll-related documentation.Perform front desk duties, including handling phones, filing, and new hire paperwork.Maintain office supplies and support document preparation.Essential Skills
2+ years of payroll processing experience; construction industry experience preferred.Proficiency in Excel with the ability to use pivot tables and perform data analysis.Experience with full-cycle payroll, prevailing wage, and certified payroll (LCP Tracker).Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight weekly deadlines.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Work Environment
You will have your own glass-enclosed office with a river view. The office features a full kitchen and a large covered deck with seating and a BBQ. An office dog, present three days a week, adds to the friendly atmosphere. Flexibility in working hours is offered from Tuesday to Thursday, while Mondays and Fridays are deadline-driven.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $41.00/hr.
