Ready to play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll for thousands of employees? As a Payroll Specialist at Spectrum, you will support our enterprise-wide payroll operations, provide expert assistance to employees, and participate in system enhancements and user training. Your work will streamline processes and ensure our teams are paid correctly, making an essential impact across the organization. You will be responsible for participating directly in the processing of payroll for assigned Charter Communications lines of business according to established processing schedule. You will provide payroll related support for all employees across the enterprise, including helpdesk phone support, direct email support, and other workflow processing systems. You may participate in user training, system upgrade testing initiatives, and reconciliation of payroll related general ledger accounts. This role may specialize in one of the three areas – QC, exceptions maintenance, and garnishments processing.


How You’ll Make an Impact

Administer and process payroll for assigned line of business on a bi-weekly basisMaintain processing task list and documentation according to department standardsProvide payroll support to all employees across the enterprise. Answer employee questions and concerns via phone or emailProvide support covering department help deskProvide support and coverage for other team members when neededScan, link and route payroll documentation using ‘Perceptive Content’Participate in system testing as required for software/hardware upgrades, implementations, and integrationsParticipate in corporate sponsored system training effortsContinuously monitor daily duties for efficiencyProcess benefit deduction adjustment request, distribute benefit emails to assigned processing team, and review adjustments during biweekly payroll processingDistribute Short-Term Disability items to the assigned processing team. Items include check requests, short-term disability files, and pay adjustmentsProcess stop-payment and reissue request

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum

Required Qualifications

Education

High school diploma requiredFPC required (either at hire or within 18 months)

Experience

2+ years previous multi-state payroll processing experience

Skills

Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishKnowledge of Oracle HCM preferredKnowledge of Kronos timekeeping system preferredStrong data entry experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

Education

Some college level business classes desiredCPP desired
