This role is ideal for someone who understands payroll deeply, thinks critically about risk, and enjoys partnering across the business to deliver accurate, compliant outcomes.** **This is an office‑based position, requiring attendance onsite four days per week.** **Your role** **Acting as the payroll subject matter expert on a 6 month payroll system implementation project using ADP Payforce payroll solution and Workday timekeeping solution.** **Translating legislation, awards, and business rules into payroll system design.** **Managing user acceptance testing, parallel runs, and reconciliations.** **Working closely with HR, Finance, IT, and vendors to deliver accurate payroll outcomes.** **Identifying payroll risks early and ensuring appropriate controls are in place.** **Supporting leaders and employees through payroll‑related change.** **After successful implementation you will be responsible for the end to end payroll processing of a fortnightly payroll for a 24/7 manufacturing operation and all associated payroll tasks.** **Support the Payroll and Benefits Manager as required.** **Your experience** **Strong hands‑on payroll experience in a complex environment** **Experience supporting or leading payroll system implementations** **Excellent attention to detail and data analytical skills** **Confidence working with cross‑functional teams and vendors** **Strong verbal and written communication** **A calm, professional approach when working under pressure** **Essential:** **8 years’ experience in a payroll/human resources environment.** **Payroll or Finance qualification or equivalent.** **Microsoft Excel - Intermediate to Advanced skill level** **Desirable** **Payroll System: ADP Payforce and Workday** An Equal Opportunity Employer Abbot welcomes and encourages diversity in our workforce.
