Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Newport Beach, California. This role is essential to ensuring accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and data validation for a dynamic and growing organization. The ideal candidate will have strong initiative, adaptability, and the ability to evaluate processes and suggest improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for approximately 250 employees across 55 offices, including corporate staff.
• Support the implementation of the Paychex system, ensuring readiness for the first pay date in January.
• Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment processes.
• Audit and validate payroll data and related processes, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Manage ad-hoc projects as assigned to support payroll, benefits, and HR functions.
• Evaluate current practices and suggest best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Requirements • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing.
• Familiarity with Paychex and system implementation processes.
• Knowledge of open enrollment and benefits administration.
• Proficiency in Sage software is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to audit and improve processes.
• Self-starter with excellent adaptability and initiative.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
