Payroll Specialist
Payroll Specialist | Aurora, CO Job Description The Payroll Specialist performs accounting and administrative duties to support the payroll department, including processing the hourly/weekly payroll, processing change requests, setting up voluntary deductions, auditing payroll reports, calling out taxes, and resolving payroll issues. Responsibilities: • Gathering information for hourly payroll employees • Input employee information into payroll system • Sets up new hires in Payroll system • Makes changes and updates employee information • Enters employee data: time, banking, and personal information • Effective time management skills to meet mandatory deadlines • Creates the hours report for import • Verifies and tracks vacation, personal, and sick days • Distributes employee’s checks • Prepares the Labor Distribution Report • Addresses issues and questions regarding hourly payroll questions from employees and managers Skills & Qualifications • HS Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred • 1 + year payroll experience • Strong communication both written and verbal • High level of confidentiality • Ability to work through complications professionally • Ultipro/UKG experience, is a plus Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
