Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll operations, collaborating closely with various departments to enhance our procedures and support our mission.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Payroll team to manage semi-monthly payroll tasks related to employee payroll.Work with the Leave of Absence team to process LOA payments.Assist in processing Partner’s monthly payroll.Support the preparation of Partner’s quarterly tax returns as needed.Recommend or participate in developing new procedures and policies related to payroll operations; assist with the coordination of approved changes within the payroll processing system.Review, analyze, and verify payroll reports and documents for accuracy; make necessary adjustments to employee’s pay as needed.Manage the centralized mailbox for payroll inquiries, including directing emails to appropriate team members and providing clear responses to questions from within the firm.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.At least 1 year of payroll experience.Proficient knowledge of payroll best practices and state and federal tax regulations as they relate to payroll.Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels within the firm.Ability to accurately follow and understand complex directions.Discretion in handling sensitive situations and confidential information.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint).Additional Skills & QualificationsCertified Payroll Professional preferred.Experience with Kronos and Payroll tax.Experience with Ultimate Software is desired.Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
