Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in New York, New York on a contract basis. In this role, you will oversee payroll, benefits, and rewards administration while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities:
• Manage payroll, benefits, equity, and rewards administration, acting as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries.
• Build and nurture strong relationships across departments to foster collaboration and trust.
• Identify opportunities for improving systems, processes, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide employees with guidance and resources to address payroll and benefits-related concerns effectively.
• Prepare and present detailed management reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices related to payroll and benefits.
• Lead annual open enrollment programs and propose strategies for new benefit initiatives.
• Administer wellness programs and employee rewards in partnership with external vendors.
• Process multi-state payroll accurately and on time, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with payroll providers and tax vendors to ensure accurate reporting and timely tax payments. Requirements • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll and multi-state payroll processing.
• Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Paylocity.
• Strong understanding of benefits administration and compensation analysis.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to address employee inquiries.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all payroll-related tasks.
• Experience reconciling benefits billing and preparing year-end payroll reports.
