Florida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America’s first fully integrated cane sugar company, guiding our sugar from farm to table. OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Corporate Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for processing payroll(s) in the United States and/or Canada while ensuring that assigned payrolls are processed appropriately and in a timely manner using ADP Vantage. The Payroll Specialist must have a high attention to detail, experience with multi-state payroll processing, and the ability to maintain positive business relationships with both internal and external customers.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Process weekly, biweekly, and monthly disbursement of multi-state/provincial payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes consistent with federal, state, and provincial wage and hour laws. Review and confirm that payroll is properly integrating with benefit information as appropriate. Review tax inquiries and liaise with ADP Tax to ensure that outstanding inquiries are resolved appropriately. Fill in for other team members as needed for vacation and/or high-volume work efforts. Consistently strive to maintain knowledge of current payroll laws and participate in continuing education opportunities as appropriate. Participate in working towards annual team objectives. Follow defined standards and reusable approaches within the Payroll operational framework Proactively provide input into defining standards for new or improving existing and procedures. Manage effective internal/external client relationships and build positive relationships with team members as well as other departments within ASR Group. ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of applicable payroll processing experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation is preferred but not required
WORK EXPERIENCES
Experience using ADP Vantage, UKG Pro WFM , and SAP is preferred but not required
