Payroll Specialist

Description:
• Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain payroll records, including wages, deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
• Verify timesheets and resolve discrepancies with employees and supervisors.
• Ensure payroll transactions comply with federal, state, and company policies.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports and assist with audits as needed.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Assist in processing new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments in the payroll system.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy and data integrity.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience, manufacturing is a plus (will be processing for 1,000 people)
• Knowledge of payroll systems (ADP, Paycom, or similar) and timekeeping software. (Kronos)
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with benefits, garnishments, accruals, labor, adjustments, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
