Job Description

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing payroll for over 500 employees and providing essential support to the workforce regarding payroll inquiries. This role involves handling new hire documentation, reviewing pre-employment information, and assisting with various clerical duties.

ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll for 500 plus employees ensuring accuracy and compliance.Provide basic information to employees who have general inquiries related to payroll.Process new hire documentation and setup efficiently.Understand and review pre-employment information such as background checks, drug tests, and employment references.Assist management with clerical duties such as ordering business cards, name badges, and arranging travel.Essential SkillsProficiency in payroll processing and payroll accounting.Experience with garnishments, data entry, and deductions.Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite.Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience.Understanding of general accounting principles.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively with employees while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required.Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.Work Environment

This position is based in an office setting, working alongside three other Payroll Specialists and a Manager. The role is time-sensitive and can be intensive, requiring a high level of focus and commitment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
