Payroll Specialist
Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to ensure the accurate and timely processing, printing, and distribution of payroll checks in accordance with company policies, procedures, and government legal requirements. The role involves processing payroll for 300-500 employees, calculating prevailing wage and job cost for both union and non-union workers, and managing various payroll adjustments such as garnishments, deductions, and bonuses.

Responsibilities:Process payroll for 300-500 employees.Calculate prevailing wage and job cost for union and non-union workers.Write up and enter payroll adjustments including garnishments, deductions, and wage assignments.Request supplemental checks for child support, employee savings deposits, net deposits, and taxes.Process monthly billings for health and dental insurance and union dues.Ensure completion and maintenance of all required payroll records, filings, and reports.Ensure timely filing of all required government forms and reports.Complete all monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports and filings.Process IRS and state tax checks in accordance with regulations.Qualifications:2-3 years of payroll experience.Experience with union payroll processing.Certified payroll reporting expertise.Payroll tax experience.Knowledge of California payroll rules.Ability to adapt to changing prevailing wage laws and regulations.Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
