Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Specialist! We are seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented individual passionate about payroll and customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of timekeeping and payroll for multiple locations and states within our organization. This will be a full-time onsite role in Odenton, MD.\n
As the Payroll Specialist, you will manage the full-cycle processing of semi-monthly payroll for over 150+ employees across multiple states. This includes calculations for employee wages, bonuses, ensuring accurate payment for overtime, vacation, and holiday hours based on state and local requirements. You will handle payroll-related inquiries, investigate and resolve pay issues, and work with both the Accounting and HR teams. Additionally, you will audit payroll transactions, generate reports for Controller review, and stay updated on multi-state and local wage laws.\n
QUALIFICATIONS\n\nBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resource management, or a related field preferred\nMinimum of three years' experience as a Payroll Specialist and\/or Manager\nExperience with iSolved OR Unanet\nExperience managing payroll for multi-state companies\nExperience working in a government contracting environment\nFamiliarity with labor legislation and federal tax laws\nExperience with various reconciliations (e.g. timesheets, payroll)\nSupervise all timesheets and oversee timely submittals\nPrior experience with government contracting employees\nStrong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.\nExcellent interpersonal skills, management skills, and the ability to collaborate with team members\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.\nAssertive with the ability to reinforce policies and encourage self-sufficiency\nFPC or CPP Certified preferred \n\n
