Payroll Senior Specialist, People Services

Location: Dublin

This is what you will do:

Reporting to the Global Payroll Manager, in concert with other team members, responsible for delivering payroll using computerised HCM and Payroll systems running typically more than one payroll. Will ensure that the standards of accuracy and the timing requirements of the payroll(s) are met. Process improvement is a key focus for this role.

You will be responsible for:

Identifying and delivering process improvement, including where appropriate, automation using currently available automation toolsEnsuring adherence to statutory reporting requirementsLiaising with senior managers in relation to the impact on the payroll function of HR policies and proceduresCoordinating, together with other team members, workloads to cope with peak processing requirementsEnsuring compliance with Processes and Legislation and works to minimise financial loss for the business through effective and timely processingMaintaining Payroll Accuracy through execution of effective payroll controls and in line with agreed Key performance IndicatorsProviding Support and Input on Payroll Related ProjectsAssisting with audits and finance queriesMaintaining, updating and helping create relevant Payroll policies, procedures, forms and knowledge articles as and when requiredMinimising loss from the business by enacting timely processing of leavers and payments

Essential Skills/Experience:

Educated to degree levelStrong understanding of insurance and taxation schemesProcess improvement mindsetExperience working in a large organizationProficiency in payroll processing software (e.g. ADP, Workday)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to build relationships with stakeholders and employeesAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills/Experience:

Experience operating across multiple countriesProfessional finance or payroll qualificationAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll-related toolsExperience with utilising automation tools, AI or machine learning
