**Payroll Recovery Specialist**
  
  
We are searching for a Payroll Recovery Specialist to join our world-class London People Shared Services Centre, a team of skilled People and Payroll professionals, responsible for providing service delivery for our UK & Ireland business which supports an employee population of over 17,000.
  
  
The successful candidate will manage the recovery of overpayments for UK and Ireland Payroll, review and track all overpayments to ensure a high level of collections,  communicate with business stakeholders, employees and ex-employees to manage queries and repayments, ensure overpayments are updated in the payroll system in line with HMRC requirements, produce appropriate monthly statistics summarising overpayments / recoveries, develop and document processes as required to deliver a high quality of customer service.
  
  
**What You’ll Do**
  
  
•Ensure engagement from key stakeholders, including the Payroll and Finance teams, to ensure processes are developed and followed consistently
  
  
•Build and maintain relationships with senior management teams, ensuring all relevant reporting is provided in a clear and timely manner
  
  
•Direct engagement with Business Account directors/contract directors to ensure recovery of overpayments and avoidance of issues moving forward.
  
  
•Develop and document payroll recovery processes, to ensure successful recovery and processing of overpayments
  
  
•Manage the recovery of overpayments to mitigate the financial impact to the business.
  
  
•Monitor status of each overpayment during the recovery process to ensure all repayment plans are settled in full, and recorded accordingly
  
  
•Liaise with ex-employees to ensure all overpayments on leaving are recovered in a timely manner
  
  
•Maintain clear records in regards to overpayments and recovery, to mitigate financial impact to the business
  
  
•Ensure clear lines of communication with business finance teams to confirm recovered monies
  
  
•Ensure all appropriate authorities are obtained during the recovery process
  
  
•Monitor the case management system, Service Now, to ensure cases meet the agreed service standards, records are updated in a timely manner, responses are accurate and in line with process, and cases are closed or updated with follow up actions and dates.
  
  
•Identify, make recommendations for and deliver service improvements using best practice, customer feedback and feedback from the team.
  
  
•Proactively work with our payroll and finance teams to ensure good practice is adopted to ensure losses via overpayments are firstly prevented, and recovered in a timely way should they occur
  
  
•Lead on conducting root cause reviews to proactively identify and implement solutions to reduce the number of employee overpayments
  
  
•Update management information reporting to provide a clear insight into overpayments and recoveries
  
  
•Provide full and relevant information in relation to the recovery of overpayments on a monthly and ad-hoc basis
  
  
•Own and participate in various People Projects as required, providing subject matter expertise and operations input to requirements.
  
  
•Act as a subject matter expert to provide payroll guidance on best practice and statutory obligation
  
  
•Support with operational readiness for implementation of new systems or processes.
  
  
**What You’ll Need**
  
  
•Employee overpayment recovery experience
  
  
•Experience utilising a case management tool to manage and report on team workload
  
  
•HRIS, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow experience is desirable
  
  
•Excellent understanding of Payroll and People processes as well as payroll legislation and statutory obligation
  
  
•Experience of working with Finance Teams, to ensure recovery amounts are correctly allocated
  
  
•Experience Working on continuous improvement projects
