We’re looking for a skilled Payroll Officer to deliver accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services while supporting our team with exceptional service.

 

About the Role:

Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for approximately 250 employees within the required time frame.Calculation and processing of termination benefitProcessing leave requests and applicationsAttending to staff and third-party queries in a timely mannerProcessing workers compensation payments and preparing Wage Reimbursement SchedulesPreparing and processing ATO and Superannuation payments within the required time frames.Preparing and maintaining the time and attendance system for weekly payroll processingReconciliation of payroll ledger accounts, including the posting of all payroll related journalsEnd of financial year payroll processing, including balancing and production of payment summariesMaintaining payroll, ESS and time & attendance systems including UAT for all upgrades and system changesPreparing payroll tax information for FinanceAssisting in the preparation of salary and budget reportsPreparation and lodgement of WGEA annual reportStreamlining of processesUpdating and maintaining payroll proceduresCalculating and processing annual pay increases and bonusesAward and Enterprise Agreement interpretationPreparation of ad hoc reports as required

 

What You Bring:

5+ years of end-to-end payroll experienceExperience in a standalone roleKnowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment lawIntermediate Excel skillsKnowledge of Sage Payroll, Micropay will be highly regarded.
