Payroll Manager

Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating end‑to‑end payroll operations across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery throughout the full payroll lifecycle, in line with local labor laws, tax and social security regulations, as well as the company’s internal payroll policies and standards. You will combine strong payroll expertise with people leadership, enabling your team to perform at a high level while continuously improving payroll processes in a multi‑country environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the Sales Market, consisting of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary.

You will: 

Secure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll execution across CZ, SK, HU, and RO, in close collaboration with outsourced payroll providers. Oversee all payroll processes related to employee lifecycle events. Maintain strong compliance with local authorities and act as a key point of contact for payroll‑related matters. Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and harmonization of payroll processes across Sales Market. Act as a trusted payroll advisor and subject‑matter expert, partnering with Sales Market leaders to provide guidance on payroll, labor law, and statutory topics. Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing payroll team, ensuring clear direction, role clarity, and capability growth across all markets. Set priorities, enable cross‑functional collaboration, and support teams in problem‑solving, knowledge sharing, and delivering customer‑centric payroll services. 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH 

You will collaborate closely with payroll specialists, external payroll providers, accounting teams, store management, and Sales Market functions. Together, you will ensure seamless payroll operations and high‑quality service delivery across all countries in scope. 

WHO YOU ARE 

We are looking for people with… 

Strong knowledge of labor law and payroll regulations. Proven experience in payroll roles (mandatory), preferably in a multi‑country or retail environment. 3+ years of leadership experience, including people development and performance management. Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail. Very good English (spoken and written) – mandatory;  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
