Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director to oversee payroll operations in New Brighton, Minnesota. This role is ideal for an experienced individual who thrives in managing payroll processes for large organizations while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities:
• Manage the accurate and timely processing of payroll requests using payroll software.
• Address employee inquiries about payroll by gathering and analyzing relevant information.
• Audit timecards and payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and post bi-weekly journal entries into accounting systems.
• Generate month-end reports, including calculations, allocation summaries, and dashboards.
• Reconcile payroll liabilities against the general ledger to ensure accuracy.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll and tax compliance.
• Handle garnishment reporting, 401(k) contributions, and benefits-related documentation.
• Conduct bi-weekly employee orientations and provide site-specific training when necessary.
• Support financial close processes and assist with budgeting tasks. Requirements • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll management, including multi-state payroll.
• Expertise in handling payroll for organizations with over 500 employees.
• Strong knowledge of payroll garnishments and related reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in processing bi-weekly payroll using systems like UKG Pro or Paylocity.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for payroll reconciliation and reporting.
• Familiarity with local payroll tax regulations and compliance standards.
• Solid understanding of payroll laws, taxes, and benefits administration.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure secure handling of payroll data.
