We’re looking for a detail-driven and proactive professional to oversee and support payroll operations in a collaborative environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate compensation, compliance with regulatory requirements, and seamless coordination across departments.
What You’ll Do:Payroll Operations:Lead and participate in the end-to-end payroll process for a diverse employee base, including staff, faculty, and students. Ensure timely and accurate payments across multiple pay cycles.Compliance & Reporting:Maintain compliance with institutional policies and federal/state regulations. Prepare and file tax reports, labor statistics, and other required documentation.System Oversight:Support payroll system updates and testing (e.g., PeopleSoft), troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with IT to ensure smooth operations.Cross-Department Collaboration:Act as a liaison between payroll, HR, finance, and external partners. Resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment on benefits, deductions, and reporting.Audit & Year-End Support:Prepare payroll documentation for audits and assist with year-end reporting, including W-2s and grant-related payroll allocations.Leadership & Support:Provide guidance and backup to payroll team members. Help resolve timekeeping and compliance issues, and contribute to process improvements.What You Bring:Solid understanding of payroll processes and tax reportingExperience with payroll systems (PeopleSoft, Oracle, or similar)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage sensitive information with discretionEffective communication and problem-solving abilitiesFamiliarity with garnishments, labor reporting, and audit prep is a plusExperience Level:

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
