Schedule: Full-time | 9 AM–5 PM or 10 AM–6 PM (with potential flexibility)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll & HR Associate to join our Hicksville office and support our growing workforce.

Position Overview

This role is evenly split between Payroll (50%) and HR (50%) responsibilities. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate payroll processing and provide comprehensive HR support, including onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll (50%)

Process biweekly and weekly payroll using Paychex Flex.Maintain accurate employee records for new hires, terminations, and changes.Generate ad hoc reports, including 401(k) census and headcount data.Post payroll entries to the general ledger.Ensure ACA compliance and assist with 1095-C distribution.

Human Resources (50%)

Prepare offer letters and manage onboarding documentation.Complete and file I-9 forms; establish and maintain employee records.Coordinate state-mandated compliance training (e.g., sexual harassment prevention).Draft job postings and assist with interview scheduling and candidate screening.Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit inquiries.Support HRIS management and process improvements.Qualifications

Required:

Minimum 3 years of payroll experience, specifically with Paychex Flex.Strong understanding of payroll processes, including pivot tables and general ledger postings.Experience with onboarding, benefits administration, and job description creation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.Solid knowledge of HR practices and employment law.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred:

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
