Position Summary
The Payroll Director oversees and directs the daily operations of the payroll department. They are responsible for global payroll processing (weekly) including error resolution and proper documentation for audits. They will partner closely with Compensation, IT, other HR departments, and Legal to deliver best Team Member experience for on-time and accurate Team Member pay. They also design scalable standardized processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Manages and direct the work of the payroll team to ensure that all transactions are processed accurately and timely for all payroll entities in U.S. and CanadaAssigns duties and examines work for exactness, accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures, while also ensuring Team Members are paid properly and accuratelyTrains, develops and assesses Payroll team members to ensure continuous growth through education, processes/process improvement, and feedbackOversees preparation of required reporting and process documentationKeeps up-to-date on the latest developments in payroll-related areas including technology, Federal, State and Local government regulations and applying knowledge to identify and implement process improvementsTrains clubs on payroll best practicesManages day to day payroll vendor relationships with vendor account managers to ensure service levels are metStudies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of payroll processesOversees tax administration with ADP Tax ServicesMinimum Required Qualifications
Knowledge of computer software including Workday and ExcelAbility to support night and weekend commitments based on deadlinesExcellent supervisory and time management skillsEducation:
Degree in Accounting or a related fieldYears of Experience:
10 years payroll experienceLicenses / Certifications / Registrations:
Certified Payroll ProfessionalPreferred Qualifications:
8 years payroll management experienceCertified Payroll Professional5 or more years high volume payroll experience and payroll tax5 or more years multi-state payroll experience, especially Canada and CaliforniaPayThis is a salaried position starting at $105,000.00 and pays up to $145,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.BenefitsAll team members receive the following benefits while working for Life Time:
