Payroll Data Analyst
**Job Description** Ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing, providing data analysis and insights related to compensation, taxes, and benefits. Analyze payroll data to identify trends, report on and resolve payroll issues, and recommend process improvements, contributing to the organization's financial accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities: + **Data Integrity and Accuracy** : Verify and validate payroll data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of employee compensation, tax deductions, and benefits + **Payroll Processing** : Review timesheets, adjust pay calculations, and process payroll transactions, including direct deposits and checks + **Compliance** : Ensure adherence to state and federal payroll regulations and tax laws + **Data Analysis and Reporting** : Analyze payroll data to identify trends, potential errors, and areas for improvement + **Payroll System Expertise** : Utilize and maintain knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations + **Communication and Support** : Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, answer questions about salaries and deductions + **Audit and Reconciliation** : Conduct audits of payroll procedures and records, reconciling payroll accounts to ensure accuracy + **Process Improvement** : Analyze and identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency\#LI-JB3 **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** In order of criticality: + **Problem-solving skills** : Ability to identify and resolve payroll-related issues + **Attention to detail** : Accuracy and precision in data entry and calculations are crucial + **Technically savvy** : Ability to run queries (SQL, PLSQL) and high aptitude in MS Excel + **Strong analytical skills** : Ability to review SOPs, analyze data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions + **Familiarity with HRIS and/or payroll systems** : Experience with payroll software and data management systems + **Communication skills** : Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and other stakeholders **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + **HRIS application experience** :Expertise in Infor Lawson and/or Oracle PeopleSoft HCM systems + **Knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws** : Expertise in state and federal payroll regulations and tax laws + **Software development experience** : Experience writing SQL queries and experience with scripting languages + **Data visualization skills** : Ability to create reports and dashboards to present data insights **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
