Job Title: Payroll Coordinator
Job Description
The Payroll Coordinator will provide comprehensive payroll services, ensuring timely and accurate financial information. You will play an active role in the evaluation, implementation, testing, training, and support of payroll and timekeeping automation practices.
Responsibilities
Ensure accurate payroll processing for all subsidiaries and affiliates, adhering to federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.Review, prepare, and process assigned payroll records while maintaining data confidentiality.Enter various employee data including payroll life cycle data, direct deposit authorizations, taxes, and other changes.Assist employees with direct change updates via the Employee Self Service Portal.Load payroll data such as secondary pay worksheets, bonuses, and termination final pay.Support managers and time editors with time system records and exception reviews.Perform pre- and post-payroll audits, reporting, and reconciliations.Assist in the calculation, processing, and distribution of manual checks.Participate in the full-cycle payroll process, including updates and reconciliation.Process new hires and terminations.Research and prepare payroll corrections and track internal team communications.Maintain knowledge of wage & hour regulations and provide breakdowns when needed.Coordinate with Payroll Systems Analyst on time and work rule configurations.Respond to wage requests from internal and external sources.Manage garnishment processing and coordinate with vendors.Communicate effectively with all workforce levels to resolve routine issues.Participate in payroll data review and optimization activities.Assist in creating new report formats and tracking tools.Essential Skills
Three years of payroll processing experience within an organization with 500+ employees.Experience with Time & Payroll systems such as ADP and UKG.Knowledge of payroll rules and regulations at federal, state, and local levels.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.Excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and communication skills.Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency diploma.Experience with California-based payroll processing.Experience with garnishment processing.Adaptive to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.At least four hours of continued education per quarter related to payroll, tax, etc.Work Environment
The role is remote with a requirement for candidates to be local to the Greater Philadelphia area, commutable to Media, PA as needed. This is a temporary position offering the opportunity to work for a historic non-profit organization dedicated to serving individuals with a range of disabilities and economic challenges.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
