Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Clerk to join our team in Perris, California. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for both union and management staff. Responsibilities: • Process weekly payroll for union employees and semi-monthly payroll for management staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Handle payroll for approximately 75 employees, with potential increases to 150-200 employees during peak periods. • Manage payroll functions for multiple unions, ensuring adherence to specific union requirements. • Assist in posting journal entries and reconciling payroll accounts to support general ledger processes. • Prepare payroll-related reports and documentation for internal and external purposes. • Collaborate with the accounts payable team for cross-training and coverage as needed. • Maintain punctuality and reliability to meet strict payroll deadlines. • Address payroll garnishments and other deductions in compliance with regulations. • Support payroll compliance and audits by providing detailed records and information. • Ensure familiarity with payroll processing systems and tools, such as Paychex. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years' experience in payroll processing, preferably in a unionized environment. • Proficient in handling full-cycle payroll for 100-500 employees. • Strong knowledge of payroll garnishments and union payroll regulations. • Familiarity with general ledger processes and accounting practices. • Experience with payroll systems, such as Paychex, or similar platforms. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. • Reliable and punctual with a commitment to excellence.
