Payroll Clerk
Responsibilities: + Process regular payroll for semi-monthly pay cycles, ensuring accuracy. + Review and verify time and attendance records. + Resolve any discrepancies or issues in payroll data. + Maintain organized and up-to-date employee payroll files and records. + Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and promptly. + Ensure payroll practices comply with college policies and state and federal wage, hour, and tax laws. + Generate payroll reports for Human Resources and Finance teams. + Assist with payroll audits and related tasks as needed. Qualifications: + Experience in payroll processing and reconciliation. + Proficiency with ERP or payroll software. + Minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll or accounting, with 1–2 years preferred. + Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Clear communication skills. + Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain integrity. + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
