Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Clerk to support our payroll department in processing employee wages accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical and organizational skills, a solid understanding of payroll systems, and a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy. Key Responsibilities: + Process payroll for employees in a timely and accurate manner. + Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay. + Review timekeeping systems to ensure accuracy of hours worked. + Calculate bonuses, deductions, and other withholdings (e.g., taxes, benefits). + Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters. + Assist with compliance reporting and audits related to payroll. + Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare related reports for management. + Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure proper classification and documentation. + Stay current on changes in payroll laws and regulations. Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience: 1–3 years of payroll or accounting experience preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge: Familiarity with federal and state wage and hour laws. Other Skills: + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. + Strong mathematical and data entry skills. + Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
