Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Garden City, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll efficiently and ensuring the accuracy of employee compensation, including commissions and garnishments. Responsibilities: • Accurately process payroll for employees, ensuring all payments are timely and compliant with regulations. • Manage commission calculations and incorporate them into payroll runs. • Handle garnishments and other payroll adjustments while maintaining detailed records. • Utilize ADP Workforce Now to streamline payroll operations and reporting. • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. • Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll data. • Generate periodic payroll reports for management and audit purposes. • Assist in improving payroll processes and identifying areas for system enhancements. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing. • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Excel. • Strong knowledge of full-cycle payroll operations for mid-sized organizations. • Experience handling garnishments and other payroll adjustments. • Familiarity with payroll compliance regulations at federal, state, and local levels. • High attention to detail and ability to manage time-sensitive tasks. • Excellent communication skills to address employee inquiries and collaborate with teams. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely.
