Job Overview

The Payroll Business User Analyst requires Dimensions and SAP Payroll systems expertise and is responsible for providing comprehensive Payroll systems support and administrative services to the Payroll Director. This individual should possess a commitment to timely and accurate payroll transactions and possess the skills required for the self-direction of payroll priorities. This position provides expertise in researching all aspects of the Dimensions and SAP systems, review of pay and time transactions, and the ability to troubleshoot problems, perform reconciliation of payroll transactions, and perform garnishment reconciliation. Additionally, this role has responsibility for monitoring that all transactions are following Company policy and procedures, audit requirements, government regulatory compliance, and legal standards. This position will be able to determine when payroll issues exist and is expected to alert the management team on pay and regulatory compliance issues. The ability to work on project teams and interact with other workstreams is critical for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for business user support for the Dimensions system; processing payroll and daily maintenance of payments and deductions on the SAP HR/Payroll system; and provide technical support on system interfaces, system support, pay calculations, and bank transactions Partner with the SAP project team testing all system releases and upgrades  Lead end-user testing of system updates to Dimensions and SAP systems including testing of upgrades and service packs and resolving problems along with the CONA partners Collaborate with the Corporate HR team and field support personnel in the coordination of payroll transactions, deductions, and execution of employee relations initiatives such as benefits, salary compensation, garnishments, labor unions, company reorganizations, and research as required for successful rollout and execution and assists in projects and payroll initiatives Provides general customer service and job maintenance required to generate checks across multiple states and 17000 employees with gross paid wages totaling over $1 billion annually Serve as the key point of contact for inquiries related to employee pay and time transactions, FLSA standards, payroll deductions, taxation, and Company policy
  Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 3-5 years of demonstrated administrative experience working in a Payroll department balancing garnishment deductions, reviewing exception payroll reports, and full-cycle payroll processing 1-3 years of experience with Dimensions system user support 1 year of experience with SAP system payroll processing Functional working knowledge of Payroll and Human Resources, benefits, and payroll topics to include: FLSA standards, federal and multi-state taxation, salary and compensation requirements, pre-tax and post-tax deductions, W-2 filings, child support, garnishment, unions, and policy interpretation, etc. Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal communication skills Excellent customer service orientation with demonstrated effectiveness in interacting with staff and employees at all levels of the organization to demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and mentoring Action-oriented and results-driven; proven follow-up and execution skills; strong detail orientation High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite and, or similar programs; demonstrated proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems and payroll processing systems Self-starter with demonstrated leadership ability to complete multiple tasks and projects and effectively re-prioritize as the needs of the payroll cut-offs and deadlines may dictate Attention to details required for payroll reconciliation and processing accuracy. Comfortable executing in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Must be able to maintain the highly confidential nature of Human Resources and payroll information without exception
  Minimum Qualifications 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school Preferred Qualifications BA, BS degree preferred with major in Human Resources or Business-related discipline. Candidates with equivalent HR knowledge and experience will be strongly considered Work Environment
