Payroll/Benefits Clerk
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll & Benefits Clerk to manage all payroll cycles and administer employee benefits for our organization. This role serves as a key liaison between HR, employees, and finance, ensuring accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance with all federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate values confidentiality, precision, and providing excellent employee support. Although part-time in hours, this position is considered full-time for benefits eligibility. Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration Process all payroll cycles accurately and on time (bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly) Manage wages, deductions, taxes, and garnishments Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies Generate payroll reports for management and finance as needed Benefits Administration Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, pre-tax deductions, leave, and related benefits Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations Reconcile benefits invoices and coordinate with benefit providers Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit questions and support HRIS & Record Management Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS and payroll systems Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll and employee data Support audits and reporting related to payroll and benefits Employee Support & Coordination Act as a liaison between employees, HR, and finance Respond to payroll and benefits inquiries in a timely and professional manner Assist with onboarding and offboarding payroll and benefits processes Qualifications 2+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience preferred Strong understanding of payroll processes, deductions, and compliance requirements Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Excellent communication and customer service skills What We Offer Competitive hourly pay ($28–$30/hour) Benefits eligibility despite part-time schedule Stable, in-office role with consistent hours Supportive team environment Requirements Payroll, Full Cycle Payroll, Payroll - Garnishments, Process Payroll, Benefits Administration, Compensation & Benefits, ADP - Payroll Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
