Payroll Associate
The Pfizer Payroll Associate is responsible for the timely and accurate execution of all payroll activities and operations for assigned payroll cycles/populations. This includes processing, validation, balancing, audit compliance, exceptions, repayments, off-cycle, post-payroll, and annual processes.

Role responsibilities Manage activities associated with regular execution of assigned payrolls, including collection and validation of inputs and error resolution.Communicate payroll kick off and approval processing milestones.Validate and balance payroll, process changes to correct errors or provide updatesDistribute required reports to stakeholders during and post-payrollWork with Manager to process more complex payroll changes, including sales bonuses, STD, return to work, LOA, leaves, and severance calculations.Process off-cycle payroll requestResponsible for overall collection of payroll claims / overpayments / repayments working with People Experience, Legal and other Colleague Services teamsEnsure all necessary audit processes are implemented and followed to assure Sarbanes-Oxley, external and internal audit compliance. Record pertinent RCM and validation activities in corporate systemsWork with vendor, Digital, Finance and other teams as needed to ensure technology, integrations, GL interfaces and other system components are functionalRespond to Tier 3 colleague inquiries as referred by the HR Service CenterServe as back-up for other team members as required

Basic qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, OR related field required OR associate degree with 4 years relevant experienceExperience in Payroll, Accounting, or Human ResourcesGood written and verbal EnglishAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to maintain privacy and confidentialityProblem analysis and problem-solving skillsKnowledge MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications     

Knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processingExperience with WFM, E-Time, Workday, ADP, SAP or other common HCM, payroll and time & attendance systemsCertified Payroll Professional, or similar professional designation

Additional job details 

Must be able to work in Costa Rica office 2-3 days per week or as needed by the business      This role is NOT remote
