The Opportunity

Based within Arup’s Finance team, our Payroll Shared Service Centre is responsible for the end to end processing of the monthly payroll for ARUP staff within UK, UAE, India and Kenya. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 6-month FTC Payroll Assistant to support with these activities, reporting directly to the Payroll Deputy Team Leader. We are in the process of consolidating further payrolls into the SSC, so this role will support the team to successfully achieve our goals.

You will make an impact in this role by supporting all payroll processing activities including:

Starters, leaversOne-off payments, season ticket and bicycle loansChecking payroll changesTax uploadsSickness AbsenceStatutory Absence including Birthing parent and Shared ParentalInternational Payroll ProcessingReporting and reconciliationsPayroll reconciliations / Data cleansingThird party paymentsAssisting with correspondence and customer service

Ad-Hoc tasks as and when required

 

Requirements

Demonstrate strong payroll processing experienceHave a solid working knowledge and experience of Microsoft ExcelBe able to work with an exceptionally high degree of accuracy and to tight timescalesHave an awareness or experience of working in a Shared Service Centre environmentDemonstrate an understanding of payroll legislation and processesBe able to create and review proceduresPossess process improvement experience

Demonstrate excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
