Description
We are looking for a skilled Payroll and Benefits Specialist for a Milwaukee, WI area organization. This role requires expertise in managing payroll operations and benefits administration for a large workforce. Responsibilities:
• Process full-cycle payroll for over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and communication of benefits options.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure proper documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Utilize Paylocity software to streamline payroll operations and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and deductions.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to leadership, offering insights into workforce compensation.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for employees.
• Provide guidance to employees regarding payroll and benefits-related questions.
• Continuously review and improve payroll and benefits processes to align with best practices.
Requirements • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, preferably for large organizations.
• Strong knowledge of benefits administration, including enrollment and compliance.
• Proficiency in using payroll systems, with experience in Paylocity being highly desirable.
• Familiarity with payroll regulations and tax laws at federal, state, and local levels.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate payroll records.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and collaborate across departments.
• Analytical skills to generate and interpret payroll reports for decision-making purposes.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, human resources, or a related field is preferred but not required.
