Responsibilities:
Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for over 750 associates across multiple departments and states, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Accurately input, audit, and reconcile payroll data, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
Generate, review, and distribute required payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Calculate and process deductions for union dues and fees; remit accurate payments to two unions.
Perform pension and health & welfare calculations and process corresponding payments for union members.
Submit required documents to third-party providers for tax filings, wage payments, and garnishments.
Process off-cycle and manual payroll payments as necessary.
Troubleshoot timekeeping system (Chronos/Kronos) issues and assist in processing weekly time files.
Audit payroll data, deductions, and taxes to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Prepare ad hoc payroll reports and respond to reporting requests as needed.
Liaise effectively with union representatives regarding member dues, fees, and benefits.
Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and ensure data integrity at all times.
Support the Finance Manager with additional payroll projects and tasks as required.
Demonstrate the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
Multi-task and prioritize work independently with moderate supervision.
Maintain high proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and formulas), Outlook, and Word.
Communicate clearly and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Workday payroll system experience (highly preferred).
Experience using Kronos (Chronos) timekeeping system.
Prior background in supply chain or similar industry environments.
