Payroll Analyst

A Day in the LifeOur Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune is expanding to serve more people living with diabetes globally. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to transforming diabetes management through innovative solutions and technologies that reduce the burden of living with diabetes. We’re a mission-driven leader in medical technology and solutions with a legacy of integrity and innovation, join our new Minimed India Hub as a Payroll Analyst. This role will be part of our global payroll team providing support for up to 2500+ employees across 10 APAC Countries as we operationally separate from Medtronic to an independent business.

This role offers a dynamic opportunity to join Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. While you will start your employment with Medtronic, upon establishment of SpinCo or the transition of the Diabetes business to another company, your employment may transfer to either SpinCo or the other company, at Medtronic's discretion and subject to any applicable information and consultation requirements in your jurisdiction.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Payroll Processing & Validation: Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing

Execute end-to-end payroll cycles, including validating inputs/outputs for multiple countries within APAC

Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to local, regional, and national tax and labour regulations.

Vendor Management: Interface with outsourced payroll providers to manage, track performance, and resolve discrepancies.

Data Accuracy: Maintain, analyze, and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy before processing. 

Time Management: Responsible for integrations to and from timekeeping (UKG) and leave vendors.

Stakeholder Management: Assists managers, employees, and other admin staff with payroll, time & benefits related questions.

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

Experience: 5+ years of payroll experience, specifically within the APAC region i.e. China / Philippines / Japan or any south asian country. Knowing language in any of the south Asian countries would be preferred.

Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with HRIS systems (Workday) and payroll vendors (ADP Celergo, CloudPay).

Knowledge: Deep understanding of APAC payroll tax, statutory reporting, and benefits.

Competencies: Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple, tight deadlines.

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably Accounting, Finance or Business.
