Payroll Analyst
Seeking a Payroll Analyst in the Houston Area!!

Job Description

The Payroll Analyst is responsible for ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws for government-funded construction projects. This role oversees the end-to-end certified payroll process, including wage determinations, labor classifications, fringe calculations, correction of variances, and the preparation and submission of weekly certified payroll reports through FCC, LCPTracker, and EMARS systems.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws for government-funded construction projects.Oversee the certified payroll process including wage determinations, labor classifications, and fringe calculations.Correct variances and prepare weekly certified payroll reports.Use FCC, LCPTracker, and EMARS systems for payroll reporting.Coordinate projects and ensure quality assurance.Interpret regulatory requirements accurately.Manage time effectively to meet urgent deadlines and handle high-volume weekly submissions.

Essential Skills

5+ years of Certified Payroll experience.Experience with LCPTracker and EMARS systems.Advanced understanding of Davis-Bacon, SCA, prevailing wage determinations, and fringe benefits.Proficiency in payroll systems such as Paycom, ADP, and Workday.Strong analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.Strong Excel and reporting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with union payroll and construction reconciliation.Skills in audit and regulatory interpretation.Ability to handle payroll processing, data entry, payroll tax, and accounting.

The role requires working in the office with the flexibility of one day working from home, although the day is predetermined. Employees should expect to use technologies such as FCC time clock system, LCPTracker, and EMARS reporting systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.73 - $32.69/hr.
