Payroll Analyst

**Duration: 12 months contract (Hybrid)**
**Job Description:**
+ The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for multiple employee groups, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
+ This role involves maintaining payroll records, reconciling reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing excellent support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.
+ The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a customer-first approach to deliver an efficient and compliant payroll function.
+ Responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for multiple employee groups, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Process bi-weekly payrolls with accuracy and timeliness for multiple employee groups.
+ Review and validate timesheets, earnings, deductions, taxes, and other payroll-related data.
+ Ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
+ Maintain and update employee payroll records in ADP Workforce Now; audit and validate Workday interface file data.
+ Accurately process new hires, terminations, and leave-of-absence (LOA) changes.
+ Manage benefit catch-up deductions for employees returning from LOA.
+ Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll policies.
+ Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
+ Input data from time sheets, production records, or individual timecards into the payroll system
+ Prepare, reconcile, and distribute payroll reports as needed.
+ Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
+ Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
**Experience:**
+ 4–7 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably within a mid to large-sized organization.
+ CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) is a plus.
+ Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
+ Familiarity with Workday HRIS and timekeeping systems (e.g., Replicon).
+ Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, including tax and labor laws.

**Education:**
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
