Payroll Analyst
Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Analyst / Technician to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina. This role involves managing payroll preparation, processing, and auditing with a focus on accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring advanced knowledge, analytical skills, and sound judgment to ensure payroll operations run smoothly and adhere to regulatory standards. Responsibilities: • Prepare scheduled and ad hoc payroll reports using Excel and internal systems. • Ensure payroll processes meet Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements. • Maintain adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry standards. • Monitor payroll for accuracy, addressing discrepancies promptly. • Collaborate with internal teams to uphold health, safety, and environmental policies. • Conduct detailed audits of payroll data to identify and resolve errors. • Support operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives. • Provide thorough and precise assistance to internal and external stakeholders as needed. • Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary updates. • Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll analyst or a similar role. • Education in business or finance preferred; FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) will be accepted. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and macros. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address payroll-related issues. • Familiarity with payroll policies, tax regulations, and compliance standards. • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in sensitive matters. • Knowledge of automated payroll systems is highly desirable. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration.
