Role description:
The Payroll Analyst is accountable for the integrity of the payroll processing, as well as the data maintenance behind it from start to finish. This role will ensure all employees are paid accurately and timely while adhering to all legal requirements, confidentiality, and within terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreements.
Responsibilities:
Support the accurate preparation and distribution of the organization's hourly and salary payrolls Ensuring the payroll department follows federal and state regulations and guidelines and administering payroll in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement(s) Possess knowledge of wage and hour laws and regulations including garnishment and multi-state tax regulations to ensure accurate execution of payroll Serve as a liaison with other departments, units, or plant locations in the resolution of payroll discrepancies, errors, and inquires Perform daily reconciliation of payroll tax and garnishments Verify payroll system in the test environment and production for payroll and tax software updates Assist with special projects as needed
Minimum skills / qualifications:
High school diploma Five (5) years of experience processing payroll Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of multi-state payroll, taxes, and labor laws Basic knowledge of accounting processes Effective organization skills and attention to detail
Preferred skills / qualifications:
Seven (7) years of experience processing payroll Associate's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field Working knowledge of manufacturing and union payroll processes Proficiency in Peoplesoft or ERP payroll system CPP or FPC certificationAbout Ardagh Group
