Payroll Administrator

Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to oversee payroll and benefits processes in a multi-state, multi-entity environment. This role is critical in ensuring payroll accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective employee education regarding benefit programs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in payroll systems, benefit administration, and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for all divisions, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ensure compliance with wage laws, payroll taxes, garnishments, and other payroll-related requirements.
• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and off-cycle payrolls with attention to detail.
• Manage payroll-related filings and payments, including unemployment accounts and tax filings.
• Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, terminations, and life event changes.
• Track employee deductions, reconcile benefit invoices, and handle adjustments as needed.
• Coordinate with benefit vendors and brokers to support renewals, plan changes, and issue resolution.
• Maintain and oversee the company’s 401(k) program, ensuring compliance with annual reporting and audits.
• Utilize payroll systems to optimize processes, enhance accuracy, and maintain data integrity.
• Develop documentation and provide training to employees on payroll and benefits procedures. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
• Proficiency in managing multi-state payroll for organizations with 100-500 employees.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations, including wage laws, tax compliance, and garnishments.
• Expertise in benefits administration and employee education.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with 401(k) administration and compliance reporting.
