Payroll Administrator
Job Title: Payroll AdministratorJob Description

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing bi-monthly and off-cycle payrolls, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, maintaining accurate payroll records, and managing payroll tax registrations, as well as following up on tax-related issues. This role requires a high level of integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Collect and review timekeeping information, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations.Manage employee deductions, including taxes, benefits contributions, garnishments, and other withholdings.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations; prepare and submit required information for tax filings and reports.Manage and address payroll tax registrations, as well as follow up on and resolve payroll tax account issues.Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.Utilize ADP to process payroll and generate reports; ensure the system is updated with current employee information and regulatory changes.Essential SkillsAssociate’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting.Experience with ADP payroll software is strongly preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Strong understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and tax laws.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with multi-state payroll processing, primarily for CA, OR, NY, and a variety of other states for a small remote workforce of 450 employees, including AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, TX, VA, WA.Work Environment

This position offers a remote working environment with flexible PST hours. The role accommodates a remote workforce, ensuring a balance between professional and personal commitments.

This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
