Job Description: The Payroll Administrator will oversee the day-to-day operations of payroll services, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This role involves validating payroll data, collaborating with managed services providers (MSP), and resolving any discrepancies or issues. The position requires a proactive approach to vendor management, process improvement, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of payroll services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Validate payroll data input from internal HR and finance teams for timely submission to the MSP.Collaborate with the MSP to troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies.Serve as the primary contact between the organization and the MSP.Monitor MSP performance against established SLAs and KPIs.Coordinate payroll system updates, enhancements, or maintenance with the MSP.Address payroll issue escalations and ensure timely resolution and communication.Manage tax filings, employee deductions, and benefit withholdings in partnership with the MSP.Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations and ensure MSP compliance.Identify and implement process improvements in payroll administration.Optimize data flows between HR, finance, and payroll systems.Prepare and review payroll reports, including reconciliation reports, tax filings, and audits.Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a payroll administrator or processing role.Advanced multi-state payroll tax knowledge.Experience with Workday and understanding of payroll processing and regulations.Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups.Experience in managing third-party vendors.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.FPC certification preferred but not required.Innovative and curious mindset.Ability to adapt to organizational changes.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.07/hr.
