Payroll Administrator
Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our finance team in Jersey City, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multi-state payroll processing and a proven ability to manage payroll systems efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Responsibilities: • Manage payroll operations across multiple states, ensuring accurate and timely processing. • Maintain and oversee time and attendance systems to track employee hours effectively. • Utilize payroll software, including UltiPro, for system management and reporting. • Handle general ledger interfacing for payroll transactions. • Ensure compliance with 401k filings and administer related processes. • Process garnishments and other payroll deductions in accordance with legal requirements. • Collaborate with the finance department to support auditing and reporting needs. • Create and maintain spreadsheets using Excel for payroll analysis and tracking. • Provide assistance and expertise during payroll system implementations or updates. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, with multi-state payroll expertise. • Proficiency in payroll software systems such as UltiPro, ADP Workforce Now, or Ceridian. • Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and payroll interfacing. • Experience with 401k administration and compliance. • Familiarity with handling garnishments and other payroll deductions. • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create formulas and analyze data. • Solid understanding of time and attendance systems. • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
