Payroll Administrator

What You’ll Be DoingAccurately process weekly and biweekly payrolls for a diverse workforce across office and field rolesMaintain and update employee records including onboarding, changes, and terminationsEnsure compliance with all applicable payroll-related legislation and collective agreementsCoordinate with supervisors and project leads regarding staffing changes and payroll requirementsRespond promptly to internal payroll inquiries and resolve discrepanciesPrepare and submit remittances to third-party vendors, unions, and government bodiesTrack and apply appropriate deductions for fines and vehicle infractionsAssist in benefits administration, including enrolment and contribution trackingGenerate and distribute payroll reports and summaries for internal use and auditsPrepare for annual reporting such as T4s and reconcile year-end dataMaintain strict confidentiality and safeguard sensitive employee informationWhat You’ll BringAt least 3 years of payroll experience in a mid-to-large workforce settingPCP designation through the National Payroll InstituteFormal education in accounting, business administration, or a related discipline preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and OutlookDemonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising accuracyStrong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detailAbility to communicate professionally and clearly, both written and verbalExperience with unionized environments considered an assetA collaborative approach with a willingness to support cross-functional teamsDiscretion and professionalism in handling confidential mattersIf you're seeking a role where your precision and integrity are valued, and where you'll be part of a team that believes in doing things the right way, we’d love to hear from you.
