Job Description
The Payroll Accountant is responsible for preparing accurate and timely weekly payroll for both union and confidential employees. This role ensures full compliance with union agreements, federal and state tax regulations, and internal company policies. In addition to processing payroll, the position manages payroll-related reporting, union benefits administration, certified payroll submissions, payroll tax filings, and the reconciliation of payroll liability accounts to the general ledger.
The ideal candidate is highly detail‑oriented, patient, and comfortable working with imperfect or evolving data. This individual must proactively verify union rates, benefits, and deductions to ensure payroll accuracy, equitable treatment of employees, and adherence to audit standards. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work cross‑functionally to resolve discrepancies.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
